The first image below shows the F2 fault codes that are listed for your Whirlpool range model GY398LXPS02. That F2 code indicates that you have a stuck key or a problem with the ribbon wire connection between the control panel key pad and the electronic control board in the console. The second image shows a parts diagram of the console and photographs of the key panel and control board. I recommend that you shut off the house circuit breakers (or remove the house fuses) for the range to completely disconnect electrical power and open that console to check that ribbon wire connection on the clock control board. I don't have a specific procedure for opening that console. I suspect that you may need to pull the range out from the counter and remove screws that you may find in the end caps of that console. This may allow you to pull the control panel forward to access internal components. If the ribbon wire is properly connected, then you may need to replace that control panel. You can order parts from the Sears PartsDirect .

Be sure that you shut off the house circuit breakers (or remove the house fuses) to disconnect electrical power before accessing and replacing components in the range.

If you need more help, reply with additional details.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
