It can be very frustrating when the freezer in your refrigerator will not defrost properly. I did some research and provide a link to a similar question and answer on our site. Hi,

Thank you for asking this question and allow me to answer it this way.

The thermistor for the freezer compartment tells the control board what the temperature is in the freezer and the refrigerator. Both of the thermistors should be ohmed out and the value compared to the chart. If the readings are falsely indicated it would be the thermistor but if the temperature is correct at the input to the board that would indicate the control board.

I hope this answer is useful and that it helps you correct the problem with your appliance.
