Five parts could cause the bake burner to not light. They are:

  • The bake ignitor

  • The bake burner

  • The ignition module

  • The clock (electronic control)

  • The bake gas valve

You need to go to Home Services and get a Sears technician to repair the range. The technician will give you an estimate before repairing.

Q:

Why is my oven not working on my Kenmore range?

A:

On something like this the only way to know the problem is to make some checks with a multimeter. It sounds like the direct spark ignition control is failing. Be sure the power supply is correctly grounded. I recommend calling for service on this type of symptom.
