Q:

mod#GW395LEGQ1 SER#IMJ5069549,WIRLPOO GOLD STOVE,PART#9753639 IS IN LOCK POSITION AN I CANNOT GET IT OUT OF CONTROL PANNEL LOCK POSITION GW395LEGQ1

A:

I checked the owner's manual and the technical information for this model of Whirlpool range. It does not have a control panel lock-out. I recommend that you shut off the house circuit breaker for the range to completely disconnect electrical power. Leave the breaker off for 5 minutes. This may reset the control board. Flip the breaker back on to restore power. See if the control works properly. If not, you will likely need to replace the electronic control board (part 9753639). Be sure that you shut off the house circuit breaker for the range before accessing internal components.

I am having a problem with this same part and stove. It begins to heat the oven but clicks off and shows up as PF. which is power failure I assume. does not come on real easy again and does it more frequently in the evening. we are on the end of the power line. seems to work better during the day. Is this the panel that is sensitive and need a new one or maybe weak power?? gw395legq1 and p/n 9753639
