Question and Answers

Q:

Dishwasher not draining

A:

I know how frustrating this type of issue can become with your dishwasher but I am happy to help. Generally this can be an issue with either the drain hose, or the drain pump. In order to be sure this is not a clog, please refer to the image below as well as clicking here for instructions on checking the drain pump. Once this is done, I highly recommend performing the diagnostic test. Refer to the second image below for instructions.

After this is performed please reply back with the error code and I will be happy to assist you further.

If you do not feel comfortable making this type of repair, I highly recommend scheduling for service. If you decide to do this you can schedule via this link: : Sears Home Services .

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Subsequent troubleshooting... after unplugging the line at the disposal end, a wet/dry vacuum was used to evacuate the fluids and attempt to force air through. Line was still blocked, so we unscrewed the support brackets and pulled the machine out from under the counter, followed the drain path, disassembled the drain line, and discovered an unpopped kernel of corn lodged in the line. Once cleared, we tested the machine and re-installed it.
