Q:

how to install part 8559849 for GU2300XTVT1 Whirlpool Undercounter dishwasher

A:

Having a Dishwasher with no installation manual can be really frustrating. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, I was searching the Manage My Life website and found your owners manual installation guide. I have attached the link below. Have a nice day!

Thanks - I have the installation manual. But it does not cover part replacement. That is what I need.

Hello Sandy,

I would like to assist you. I do not have any manufacturer instructions for the feed tube replacement. Yours is actually two parts and splits behind the sprayers in the lower rear of the machine. Unplug the dishwasher or shut off the breaker. You will not need to pull it out to service it, just remove the racks. Here is a video that depicts rack roller replacement, but it shows how to remove the upper rack. Remove the hardware that attaches the sprayer mounted in the top of the dishwasher and then gently pull the tube towards you. You will see that it is attached at the middle of the tub with a metal clip on each side of the tube. The feed tube should pull up and out now. Just remember to not force anything, if it doesn't come out, look for other mounting hardware.

I have attached a diagram to assist you. Please let me know if you would like any further assistance.
