Thank you for your question. I can understand your concern about the freezer door. Unfortunately, there is no closer for this door. The gasket is what holds the door closed. Now, some models will create a vacuum when the doors are closed and others will not. However, this suction will only last for a few seconds. If you do not want to load the door, another option will be to tilt the unit back. If the door and gasket are not dragging or rubbing against the liner, when it pops open, it should close again by itself, with the unit tilted backward slightly. I hope this will help you.
