Thank you for your question. This can be a very difficult repair and sometimes it can be non-repairable. The best fix for this will be to replace the evaporator # WR85X10037. It will be the complete low side assembly, which includes the heat exchanger. In most cases, this will be the only fix. Especially if this was a burnout. I would also recommend having a technician make this repair. I'm listing a site you can access, to have a tech come out. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services . I hope this will help you.

I'm sorry you are having this problem with your refrigerator. The information you have received from Joseph is good but this appears to be a different problem. If the fan is running, it indicates the thermostat is calling for cooling. Now the fan and compressor on this unit are on the same circuit, so this will indicate that the compressor or the starting device on the compressor has failed. A technician will be needed to make these checks. It could also be a loose or broken wire. To check the wires, you can disconnect the power and remove the back panel cover. Now you will see the compressor and wires leading into the small box on the side of the compressor. Remove the cover on this box and you will see the wires and the starting device. You can now check for a loose or broken wire. I hope this will help you.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
