Sometimes replacing some parts can be a little challenging. The part number listed shows to be the defrost timer. The timer (# 648 in the picture) mounts inside the control housing (# 306). First, disconnect power to the unit and then you can lower the control housing. Remove the screw holding the housing in place and lower the housing. You will now be able to see the timer and the wires connected to it. If the wires are in a harness connector, just remove the connector. If the wires are separate, pay attention to the terminals they are on, so you can reconnect them to the same terminals on the new timer. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, any additional details will be helpful and I will be glad to assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
