If the compressor is not running the problem can be with the compressor, compressor relay or the electronic control.

The answer to the problem depends on what the compressor is trying to do. If you hear a hum followed by a click then likely the compressor is getting 120 volts on the black and orange wire which would mean the compressor/start relay or overload is at fault.

If the compressor hums and then clicks off then most likely voltage is getting to the compressor from the electronic control.

If you hear nothing and the compressor is not running then the control may be at fault.

If the compressor is running but nothing is cold then check if the condenser coils are hot to the touch. If not then you may have a leak.

The key to the problem is knowing what the compressor is doing. You can reply with any additional comments or questions for additional assistance.
