Without having the model number of your GE side by side refrigerator I will no be able to provide any model specific troubleshooting assistance, only general. Generally speaking it would be unusual for both solenoids to fail on the water valve at the same time unless the dispenser valves are controlled by a failed electronic control board or it lost the common circuit to both.

Since you did not indicate and verified adequate water flow and pressure to the water valve I would suspect you have a water supply failure. The water valve solenoids can be tested for resistance using an ohm meter. The coils will have a resistance between 180 and 320 ohms. Be sure to disconnect the solenoids before checking the resistance of the valves. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord before accessing and checking the valves.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
