I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your refrigerator drawers. On this model the gasket for the crispers are not attached to the crispers themselves, but to the shelves above the drawers. In the drawer cover you will find a grove that the gasket is pressed into, just like the gasket around the door. This is what holds the gasket in. I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

If your model had a mechanical ice maker like the one shown on the left in the image below, then you will probably need to replace it with an electronic ice maker (shown on the right). If you need to replace that ice maker, then you can order it from this page: Electronic Ice Maker for GE Refrigerator GSHL5KGXBCLS . Be sure that you unplug the refrigerator before accessing and replacing internal components.

I am not sure which fan that you are referring to. Reply with additional details about that fan problem and we will assist you further.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

Thanks to both for your replies.. Lyle, the fan is the one that blows the cold air into the freezer.. How can I tell if the ice maker is electronic or mechanical??

A:

That ice maker will have a rocker switch like the one shown on the right side image above if it is electronic. It will have the slide switch at the bottom of that front module if it is mechanical. That evaporator fan should be getting around 12 volts DC out of the main control board to run. Since you just replaced that control board, you probably have that DC voltage coming out of the board. That portion of the wiring diagram is shown in the image below. You can unplug the refrigerator and check those wiring connections. If the wiring connections and the harness are okay, then you may need to replace that evaporator fan motor. If you need more help, let us know.

Thank you for your question. I can understand your concern about the shelf falling. I'm attaching the instructions for installing the clips listed. You may also need to order some new wider shelves # WR49X10057. These shelves and the clips listed will not be included with the model number because these parts are an add on feature to help correct this type of problem. I hope this will help you.
