Q:

how do I disconnect the ice maker wiring harness in Whirlpool Refrigerator model GSF26C4EXB00 GSF26C4EXB00

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with gew9200lq0. Upon researching model GSF26C4EXB00; the cone doesn’t open. The cone is the actual plug. You would unplug the cone and plug in the new one.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

Q:

not making ice, even with fast ice option on GSF26C4EXB00 Whirlpool Refrigerator

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I will be more than happy to assist you.  I can understand any frustration you may have experienced with regards to your unit. Let’s see what we can do for you.

If there is ice in the mold that is not being harvested, this could be a problem with the icemaker, the temperature in the compartment or the control board. First check the temperature. If it gets above 12 degrees, the icemaker may not cycle. If the temperature is ok, try to cycle the icemaker manually. To cycle this icemaker, press and hold the water level button for 3 seconds.

If the icemaker cycles, it will indicate, the sensor in the icemaker is not working and the icemaker will need to be replaced. If it does not cycle and if there is no led lit on this icemaker, some voltage checks will need to be made, to determine, if the board or the icemaker has failed. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will assist you further.

Hope this information has helped you. If you are not comfortable doing this repair you can click here to schedule a technician or call toll free 1-800-469-4663. If you have any further questions or concerns, you will have to post a new question. Again, thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com.
