From the description you give I would suggest checking the door switches. The control will get power for lights and display even if the door switches are bad but nothing will run.

Remove the console and check the door switches to start and let me know what you find.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern. The rubber funnel/knob on is part of the middle spray arm conduit (key#617). If it has come loose, the conduit will need to be replaced unless you have a way of securing the rubber piece onto the conduit.

The conduit should basically hang from the upper rack and when the rack is pushed in, the rubber funnel/knob will align with the middle spray arm water supply connection as shown in the images I added below. Rather than trying to describe how it should fit and mount, I added a couple of images below that will show how it fits.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Kevin: I'm sorry you are having troubles. Key #586 (docking cone) is fastened and fixed to main conduit key #585 with a screw. The conduit tube key#617 is suspended and connected at one end at the spray arm bracket and suspended on the other end from the bottom side of the back end of the upper rack using the CONDUIT CARRIER (KEY#621). The conduit carrier will clip to the bottom of the rack. The conduit will move with the upper rack and align with the docking cone key#586 that is fixed to the main conduit key#585. We do not have any other images other than the one I sent in a previous answer. The service manual says to look at the parts image for assembly. If youre not able to figure it out, I recommend calling a service technician.
