Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I would suspect a worn out piston and nut assembly (key#564) as shown in the images below. When the piston seal becomes worn, when the dishwasher drains, some of the water is recirculated back into the tub.

The piston and nut assembly can be accessed and removed from inside the tub. You will need to remove the filter grates inside the tub located at rear. If the rubber portion of the piston assembly is warped, replace the piston/nut assembly and your dishwasher should drain completely.
