Upon researching model GS6SHEXNL00; to remove the handle lift and unhook he handle from its place, once the handle has been removed you can check to see if the handle clips are loose, if the clips are loose you may need to replace them in order for the handle to fit tight. Thank you for your question. I can understand your concern about the dispenser dripping water. There is an updated water tube # 8201537 that is designed to help stop this type of problem. This is the tube inside the freezer door. To replace this tube first, disconnect power to the unit and close the water supply valve at the wall off. Now, disconnect the water line at the connection under the freezer door and be prepared to catch some water. I'm attaching a picture of how this fitting works. Now, remove the front dispenser cover (see second image). This will give you easy access to remove the screw, holding the water fitting and you can now pull the loose water line up through the door. To replace the tube, reverse the procedure and push the tube back down through the door and reconnect it, at the fitting under the door. I hope this will help you.
