A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com and being a valued member. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your heater and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number gmt070-3 and we do not have the original manufacturer authority to sell parts for them. You will need to contact the original manufacturer for replacement parts. I trust this information will help you.

Thank you for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com.

Q:

air filter retainer GMT0703 Goodman Gas furnace

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
Typically, the air filter retainers on these units are a metal bracket that secures the filter to the access door, and the brackets are a part of the access door itself, and usually not sold separately. You may have to either purchase a new access door or fabricate a retainer in place on the original. Based upon model GMT070-3B (I don't have a parts list available for GMT070-3) I see the part number for the access door as 4012004P.
Hopefully this helps and let us know if we can be of any further assistance. Thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

I have the same issue, I cannot see where to safely install the filter and there seems to be no retainer....not sure if I should put on in or which way the airflow is meant to be - see image here: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/16356498/WP_20140701_004.jpg Where should it go?
