Q:

blower motor gmp100-3 rev b

A:

I need to replace one, ONLY because the bracket broke. I expect to get one from the distributor today. If the factory motor also has your 7-8 problem, I may have an answer in the next day or so. You might have one capacitor lead in common with neutral wire, you may have fewer motor speeds. Two lowest speeds are unused on my furnace. Can you post the colors of wires on new and old? I'm here looking for an error code chart, the paper has disintegrated. Furnace won't start the inducer, LED flashes fast for several minutes after power-up. Heat limit switches are intact.

Hello Walter. I looked up that part on the factory website. It shows that you model needs motor B1340021S. That appears to be a different motor from the B1340021 that is listed on our Sears PartsDirect website. That will likely fix your wiring problem. I apologize for the problem with that motor.

You asked for the error codes and the wiring diagram. I posted those images below.  If you are viewing this answer on the Sears PartsDirect website then you may need to visit this page on the Manage My Life website to view the images: blower motor gmp100-3 rev b

Lyle, Thank you for the effort, but the link refers to this searspartsdirect question page, not to any images. I did find the materials elsewhere. I changed the circuit board and got rid of the "faulty ground / reversed polarity" indicator. Now I need to troubleshoot the inducer... Walter, the factory motor came with fewer speeds than the motor I took out.
