Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com. I'm sorry to hear about the oven temp issues you're experiencing with this Frigidaire Gas Range, I should be able to help.

I think you hit it on the head with your symptom description. On this Frigidaire, you have a safety valve that needs to be engaged before it will release the gas for the bake portion to come on. The bake ignitor must glow to a specified ohm rating before the safety valve will release the gas. If the ignitor is not heating up enough, the safety valve will not release the gas and the bake portion will not ignite and heat.

Since the broil is igniting and heating, we know the gas is good, and in turn, so is the regulator. That pretty much narrow's it down to the bake ignitor, given that the safety valve is in good working condition, but they very seldom go out.

I would recommend replacing the bake ignitor and that should solve your problem. For your convenience, I have included a link below you can click on to be directed to our PartsDirect page to purchase the ignitor.
