Question and Answers

Q:

Dryer won't turn off and seems to not be heating GLEQ942CS0 Frigidaire Dryer

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com and being a valued member. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your dryer and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number GLEQ942CS0 and from your description I would suspect a problem with control board itself. This model does not have a timer like some models have which is sometimes the cause for the problem you are having. I recommend having the board tested and the heating element as well. Here is a link that may help with additional troubleshooting. Just click the blue link above to be taken to the page. I trust this information will help you.

Thank you for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com.

Q:

Dryer will only heat up in trouble shoot mode GLEQ942CS0

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help you with your lawn mower. Upon researching model 1069658615, there is a tube in the back of freezer to drain the coils. THE tube can sometimes freeze or clog with debris. When you open the freezer door the back wall will get removed. The tube is in the bottom back. If frozen use a heat gun or hair dryer. If not available then you can run warm to hot water let sit and continue till it un-freezes. If it has debris use compressed air to clear out. If not able to unclog the tube could have to be replaced.

If you have any further questions please repost. Thank you for choosing Sears. Have a great day.

Changing the door switch and thermal limiter was a good try.   Even if the light works it doesn't mean the door switch is not a problem.  From the description you give I suspect the control board is the problem.  If a meter is available then checking voltage across the J9 tan wire and white wire would contirm the control board is the problem.  I hope this helps.  You can reply with any additional details for further assistance.
