Question and Answers

Why won't my Frigidaire dishwasher model GLD2445RGB2 circulate water during the wash cycle?

The model number that you provided appears to be slightly off. It may be GLD2445RFB2 instead of GLD2445RGB2. This does not likely affect the accuracy of the following answer but you may need to recheck the model number.

You can try to start the WATER/SERVICE TEST as shown in the image below to see if the pump will run in this mode. If not, then you could have a failed control board or a wiring failure between the control and the pump motor. I provided a wiring diagram in the image below. If you are able to shut off the breaker to disconnect electrical power and access the control board in the console, you can check the blue wire on the P3-5 connector of the control board to make sure that it is properly connected. Using the wiring diagram, you may also be able to check the continuity through the motor circuit. If the circuit is good then you likely need to replace the electronic control board to fix this dishwasher problem. If the circuit is open, then you will need to find the wiring failure or check the motor for continuity.

NOTE: This information is intended for technicians. Be sure that you follow electrical safety guidelines when accessing internal dishwasher components. Shut off the breaker to disconnect electrical power before exposing any internal components or wiring. Internal metal edges in the dishwasher can be sharp. Protective gloves are recommended.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
