I posted a wiring diagram for the dishwasher in the image below. You indicated that you have 120 VAC out of the door switch. The voltage supply to the electronic control board is marked in red and green on the wiring diagram (actual wire colors are black and white). I recommend that you shut off the house circuit breaker for the dishwasher and check those wiring connections on the control board. If those wires are connected properly, then you can carefully check the voltage going to the control board through those black and white wires. 

 

Note: Use extreme caution when checking live voltage. Wear electrical safety gloves and safety goggles. Shut off the house circuit breaker for the dishwasher as soon as live testing is completed.

 

If the control board is getting power but you have no response from the control console, then you will normally need to replace the main control board (part 154484601). You can order that part from this page: Frigidaire Dishwasher Model GLD2160SCS0 Control Board 154484601. 

 

I don't have any specific voltage checks to test the switch assembly and the control board on this dishwasher. 

 

If you replace that control board and still have problems, then you will probably need to also replace that switch assembly (part 154474701). Here is a link for that part: Frigidaire Dishwasher Model GLD2160SCS0 Switch Assembly 154474701.

There is a possibility that a short in the drain pump or the wiring could have damaged the main control board (part 154474701) in the dishwasher. I recommend that you check the wiring connected to that drain pump. You canshut off the house circuit breaker for the dishwasher and measure the resistance through the drain pump circuit using a volt/ohm meter. You should measure about 28 ohms of resistance through that circuit. You can check that circuit for resistance to the metal cabinet ground. Place one meter lead on the violet wire connector that plugs into P3-4 on the control board. Place the other meter lead on the bare metal of the dishwasher cabinet frame that is a good common cabinet ground. You should measure OL -- open load (or infinite resistance) during that test. If you measure resistance during that test, then you have a pinched or frayed wire in that drain pump circuit that is shorting out to the metal cabinet in the dishwasher. 

 

Conducting the above tests on that drain pump circuit may help you prevent any further problems after replacing the control board(s). You may want to check the other load circuits in a similar manner. If you need help making those checks, reply with additional details.

Lyle, Thanks very much. I really appreciate that detailed info. I've ordered the control board and will check it out next week. I had checked the leads going into the transformer on the drain pump for continuity and got about 25 ohms I think in that. That seemed ok. I also checked the leads to ground but am not positive about what came out of that. I'm going to recheck that at your direction before trying to install the control board. As for the control board itself, I did measure 120V AC into the board from the main wires and then some minor outputs, something like .34V DC between some of the pins on the ribbon connector into the LED pushbutton unit. I have no idea what was supposed to come out of those but there is SOME power, albeit small amounts. Thanks again. That was a great answer. I really appreciate your time!
