Question and Answers

whirlpool he washer leaking GHW9460PL0

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is trouble with the washer.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Whirlpool model number GHW9460PL0.

Sorry to hear about the leak.   If you can get the floor dry.  Stick a news paper under the washer and run it through a small cycle.   Pull the newspaper out and see if the water is coming from the back, middle  or the front.  If it is coming from the back then you will need to look at the water inlet hose connection and the valve itself.   If the water is mostly in the middle of the paper then looking at the pump area and if the water is mostly in the front.  Then be looking at your front door gasket called the bellows.

Now reading your message further.   If the water is continually flowing through the washer and not stopping then that is the water valve.

While you are replacing the valve,  Just be aware in that you need to change the water inlet hoses every 5 years.  Especially if you own your home due to insurance protection of your floors.
