Question and Answers

water entering the bowl while turned off in the bulky cycle GHW9250ML1 Whirlpool Residential washer

Thank you for choosing and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your washer is not working properly.

The washer control software allows a higher water level

during the bulky cycle. When the consumer washes a small load, the washer can over fill causing leakage from the door seal.
Check the door seal and verify the seal is seated properly.
If the seal is OK, replace the Central Control Unit with a
control that has the updated software. The number printed on the control housing label will identify the software version. The updated software version will end in a number “2”, instead of a number “1”.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Thank you for your question. Have a great day.
