 F06 Drive motor Tachometer error:

The control is unable to properly detect motor speed and

high-speed spin, the door will be unlocked after three
minutes.

Possible Causes / Procedure
1. Verify the shipping system including shipping bolts,

2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check wire harness connections between the drive
motor and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between
the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU).

Q:

F07 Error Code GHW9150PW1 Whirlpool Residential washer

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the F07 error code you are receiving on the washer. I know how frustrating that is to have happen.

The F07 error code indicates a ‘Motor Control Unit Error’. The Central Control Unit has detected a short in the motor control unit. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin the door will be unlocked after 3 minutes.

I would recommend checking the wire harness connections between the Drive Motor and the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central Control Unit (CCU).

If the connections look good, you will need to have a meter and have the capability to test the components in the circuit: the drive motor, the MCU, and the wires in the wire harness. It will more than likely be an issue with the MCU, but it’s hard to say without testing first.

If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, you can call 1-800-469-4663, or click here to be directed to the page to set up service.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.
