Question and Answers

Q:

Door GHW9100LW1

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your washer. Upon researching model GHW9100LW1; it sounds like you may need to replace the door lock assembly. The door lock assembly allows the washer door to remain locked while the washer is in use, so when the door lock fails the washer will not hold the door closed. I have posted a link of the door lock assembly to view the link click here.

I trust this information will help you, we appreciate your business thank for choosing Sears.

Q:

Replacing Shock(s) and Spring(s)? GHW9100LW1 Whirlpool Washer - direct drive

A:

Thank you for choosing sears I would be happy to help you with your washer. Upon researching model GHW9100LW1; this model uses 4 shock absorbers and only 1shock absorber is included per package (there all sold separately). It is always a good idea to replace the belt if it has not been changed in a long time, since you will already be working on the washer, the belt can eventually stretch out of break over time so replacing it now would save you the trouble of changing it at a less convenient time. I have posted a link below of the shock absorber.

I trust that this information will help you, thank you have a great day.

If the overflow contact on the pressure switch is closed for more than 60 seconds, an Overflow condition will occur.  In an Overflow condititon, the door remains locked and the drain pump runs constantly, even if PAUSE/CANCEL is pressed twice and the display is cleared.  Turn off hot and cold water faucets and unplug the unit before servicing.

POTENTIAL CAUSES:

1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.

2.  Check wire harness  connections to the Drain Pump, Pressure Switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU).

3.  Check/clean drain pump filter of foreign objects.

4.  Check the inlet valve for proper shut off.

5.  Check the pressure switch for proper operation.

Please "RESUBMIT YOUR QUESTIONS IF THERE IS ANY OTHER PROBLEMS".
