Hi,

Thank you for your question. It is concerning when the refrigerator is not functioning correctly. If the water pressure is constant to the icemaker water valve, and the problem is intermittent, I would say you are having a sticky water valve. If the unit is not harvesting the ice from the mold and cycles thru and fill with ice in the mold you would have a module problem with sticky contacts. The module is available as a part, Here is the link, Whirlpool Refrigerator module .

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance please include more details in a reply to this thread.

Q:

How to rebuild the auger assembly?

A:

I'm sending you some pictures and instructions of the auger assembly and reassembly procedure. All of the parts, including both # 8's, have to go back exactly or the crusher will not work properly. This can be a difficult procedure especially when parts were lost and not knowing the order, they were removed in. It may be better to replace the complete bucket assembly # 2216051 which is available at SearsPartsDirect . In most cases, even with techs, it works better to replace the complete assembly. I hope this helps you.
