Oven not working, no display but interior lights work fine GBD307PRB01 Whirlpool Built in oven - electric

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your oven. Upon researching model GBD307PRB01; it could be the display board is not functioning properly. If the board is ok then it could be one of the control boards. It would be best to call our repair department and have a tech diagnose the unit. Electrical boards can be damaged by static electricity or if mishandled.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

Q:

control board GBD307PRB01 Whirlpool Built in oven - electric

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

I am sorry to hear of the intermittent issues you are having with the display, I know how frustrating that is to have occur.

I would recommend to start by checking the electrical connections from the keypad to the board and the connections to the board itself. It could be a loose connection. If you do check these connections, make sure you turn off power first.

Outside of that, the issue could stem from either the control board or the display, and without testing each component with a multimeter, it will be hard to determine which is at fault.

In situations such as this, we recommend having a technician involved to assist with the troubleshooting. If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, you can call 1-800-349-5071, or click here to be directed to the page to set up service.

Let us know if we can be of any further assistance and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

Thanks for adding that model number. I posted some images below this response that shows how to open the console and access the control boards in this oven. Be sure that you shut off the house circuit breakers for the oven to completely disconnect electrical power before beginning this repair.

This should be the information that you need to repair the oven. If you need more help, reply with additional details.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician examine and repair the oven, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .
