Question and Answers

Q:

My whirlpool oven is not working. It just baked a cheese cake yesterday. Today, I was getting ready to use it and the control panel is off and won't work. GBD307PDS10

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear that the control is unresponsive. I know how concerning that is.

I wonder if the control lock on the panel was accidentally turned on. If the control lock was activated, it would shut down the control panel pads to prevent unintended use.

To unlock the control lock, press and hold START/ENTER until a single tone sounds. When in the locked position, you should see 'Loc', a picture of a lock, in the display.

If the control is not locked, there may be a stuck button or key on the control pad. This may require a replacement for either the overlay (push buttons), or possibly the control board. We would recommend having a service technician involved for further diagnostics.

If you would feel more confident having a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, you can call 1-800-469-4663, or click here to be directed to the page to set up service.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife.com. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your oven displaying a error code. We are here to help. Marc did provide you a good link on this problem. I recommend you disconnect the ribbon cable from the control board. Next check the cable and install it again. Make sure it it inserted properly and everything is making a connection. Also, check where it is hook up to the keypad. It may have come loose, causing the error code. If that does not fix it, replace the keypad. I hope this helps.

We had a power outage and the control panel is blank. The inside light goes on when the door is open. However, there is no display on the main panel. Last time we had this problem the unit reset itself several hours later however not this time. Let me know if we need to replace the control unit?

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is trouble with the oven.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Whirlpool model number gbd307pds10.

Did you by chance have a power outage?   Be sure to check by your plugs.   Flip them off then back on just to see if you get lucky and that helps first.

You say your panel at the controls is completely dark.  I found what you need but there are two choices.   If your oven is black or white.   I have them listed on the link below.
