Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I added an image below to reference of the agitator and the transmission shaft that the agitator is secured to. You can see that there is a hub (key#2) with a stud (key#1) which the agitator fits over and is held down with the agitator cap (key#1). Key #2 is held down with the key #1. Then shove the agitator down over key #2 and key #1 should protrude up through the center of the agitator which the agitator cap is the placed over the agitator and screwed onto the stud (key#1).

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

From the description you give the washer will fill and agitate in the wash cycle but will not advance and fill and agitate in the rinse cycle.

This sounds like a timer or lid switch problem.

I had some difficulty bringing up the FWLX833AS1 model number. Is this an older machine?

Thanks for the FWX833AS1 model number.

You can try manually advancing the timer a click or two and see if it will perform the functions.

You don't mention any problems with the drain or spin cycle. If the washer will drain and spin then most likely the timer is the cause of your problem.

If the washer will not drain and spin then I suspect the lid switch is the problem. The lid switch can be checked with an ohm meter if one is available. Do not try to bypass the switch.

You can reply with any additional details for further assistance.
