Question and Answers

Q:

Frigidaire washer model #FTF2140ES3 won't cycle FTF2140ES3 Frigidaire Washer

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your washer is not working properly.

I recommend checking the door lock switch. 131763200 is the part number.

If the washer will do everything but spin the most likely problem is with the door lock assembly. Does the washer agitate in both directions? If yes then the motor is okay. Does your unit drain normally? If the control doesn't know the door is locked then it won't start a spin cycle.

Q:

water does not come in FTF2140ES3

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

I am sorry to hear of the issue you are experiencing with the washer not filling with water, I know how frustrating that is.

I recommend taking these steps:

  • Unplug the washer.
  • Turn off the water supply faucets behind the washer.
  • Remove the fill hoses from the connections on the back of the washer.
  • Check the in let water screens on the back of the washer for deposit or debris. Clear any obstruction in this area. Thoroughly flush this area with water before replacing the inlet screens to prevent debris from corrupting the water valves.
  • While the hoses are still disconnected from the washer, place the ends of the hoses in a bucket and briefly open the water supply faucets to check the pressure and flow from the fill hoses.

If you are getting no water pressure from the fill hoses, then the washer will not fill. If everything in these checks looks good, then the issue may be with the water fill valves or the pressure switch.
