Question and Answers

How do I find and replace the fuses in my Frigidaire gas dryer model FSG446RHS4?

If the dryer is running but not heating the first check to make is the hi-limit thermostat. It can be accessed by removing the top of the dryer. See the first image for a picture of this. Remember to unplug the dryer first.

The hi-limit can be check for continuity if you have access to a volt/ohm meter and are comfortable using it.

If you have no meter the hi-limit can be check by removing both wires and join (jump) them together. Put a little electrical tape around then connection and don't let the connection touch metal. Run the dryer and see if it will heat now.

If the dryer heats after you start it then you have found the problem causing the no heat. Replace the hi-limit thermostat immediately and don't continue to run the dryer with the thermostat jumped. It's a safety feature and while it's okay to run the dryer a moment to check the thermostat it is not okay to continue to run the dyer.

If the hi-limit is not the problem then you will have to remove the front panel to check the operating thermostat, flame sensor and igniter. See the 3rd image for how to do this.

I hope this information helps to resolve the problem but if not then submit another question with any additional details for further assistance.
