Q:

Refrigerator light socket loose; and light flickers on and off

A:

It is very likely you'll be able to do it yourself if you're reasonably handy with tools. If you send us the part number or type into the right hand corner of this page, you will likely see a collection of people who have had similar questions. I was not able to find instructions using your specific model number. I included a link below that will open a full page of similar questions that you can review. You should hear back from an expert within the next two business days. I hope this helps you and have a nice morning.

Hi,

Thank you for your question, and I would like to answer the question this way.
If you are handy and unplug the unit from the wall and drop the panel down, it is held up with 4 screws, and pull it down slightly and there is the mounting for the light socket. Remove the old and reconnect the new exactly the same as the old one and you are ready to put the panel back into place and you have completed the job and saved yourself some money.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance please include more details in a reply to this entry below.
Thank you for using Manage My Life.

If you would look at the images I sent of the socket and the diagram for the refrigerator you can see that the light bulb in the socket is facing the door (in the images I sent), but if you look at the diagram it is facing the back of the refrigerator. Do you think this could be the problem and if I do install it myself should I put it in the way it is shown on the diagram?
