Fridgidaire not getting cold in refrigerator and freezer

It can be frustrating when you make a purchase, like the Frigidaire refrigerator, and it is not cooling properly.  The link I am providing is on a similar issue with a freezer, which may help you understand what is going on with your refrigerator.  Click here to view link:  Bottom shelves only.  If you decide on service, click here:  Sears Home Services.

Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your appliance not working.

The refrigerator works by making the freezer cold and the damper is opened between the freezer and the refrigerator is cooled by the cold air coming into the refrigerator.  Both the refrigerator and the freezer have thermostats that control the cooling and with the help of a defrost board the compartments are cooled.  If the freezer is warm and the control is set to the coldest position, do you hear the compressor in the rear bottom of the refrigerator running?  If the compressor is running, in the freezer section is the lower rear wall cold or showing signs of ice?  Remember if the freezer is not cooling the refrigerator is not going to cool.  If the problem is one of defrost there will be frost or ice on the rear panel of the freezer section.   The defrosting of the refrigerator is automatic and the interesting question is the cooling system functions and the evaporator fan operation.

Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help.
