Thank you for your question. I can understand your concern about this water leak. This type of problem usually indicates the diodes # 5303918287 next to the water valve have failed. It could also be a defective valve but it's not as likely as the diodes. This can be a complicated repair and I recommend having a technician make this repair. I'm listing a site you can access, to have a tech come out. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services . If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

Thank you for your timely reply. I have already replaced the water valve and from what I've seen the mentioned diodes, as a fix, were included with the new replaced valves, Which did not fix the problem. Where exactly are the diodes located are they part of the new valve that I purchased and replaced?

A:

Bill, the diodes are not part of the valve and will not be included with it. The diodes are in the wiring harness next to the valve.

A:

Bill, rewiring the new diodes can be complicated. Pay close attention to how the original diodes are wired and to the instructions included with the new diode kit.

Thank you for your question. I can understand your concern about the noise. The noise you are describing will be from either the evaporator motor # 5303918549 or the icemaker # 241642501. When either of these parts starts making a noise, it will usually need to be replaced. When the noise occurs again, listen to see if it's coming from the icemaker or in the back of the freezer from the fan motor. Another way to check it will be to see if the icemaker is running during the time the sound occurs. If it's not running it would then lead to the motor. These parts are available at SearsPartsDirect . I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.
