I'm sorry you are having this problem with your icemaker. If the icemaker is cycling but not filling it could be a defective water valve, the icemaker itself or a diode. A good check will be to manually cycle the icemaker. To do this, pull the front cover off and you will see a large and small gear (see picture). Use a screwdriver and turn the small gear counterclockwise about a 1/4 turn and the icemaker will start into a cycle. Toward the end of the cycle, it will or should fill with water. Listen for a humming sound during this time. If you can hear a humming sound from the back of the unit, it means the water valve is getting energized but not opening. In this case, the water valve # 241734301 will need to be replaced. If nothing happens another check will be to reverse the wires on the water valve. Disconnect the power from the unit and pull it out far enough to get behind it and remove the back panel cover. You will be able to see the water valve now and the electrical connections on the solenoids. These wire connections are in pairs. Reverse the harness connections and now reconnect the power. Activate the water dispenser now and watch to see if water enters the icemaker. If water does flow into the icemaker now, the water valve will need to be replaced. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, any additional details will be helpful and I will be glad to assist you further.

I can understand your concern about this overfilling condition. The information you have received does not pertain to this problem. This icemaker does have a water adjustment screw in the front behind the cover (see picture). Normally when the water is overfilling this much, the water valve is the problem. Since you have replaced the valve and have the same results, this icmaker could be stalling in the fill mode portion of the cycle. Try reducing the water level by 2 full turns of the screw and if the water still overflows, the icemaker may need to be replaced. I would recommend having the water pressure checked also. I hope this helps you. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
