If you recently replace the water filter, I recommend that you purge water through the system for about 3 minutes. This may remove any air that is trapped in the water system. Trapped air will sometimes cause the dispenser to leak.

Make sure that the water is coming from the dispenser and not from the ice dispenser door not being closed completely. If the ice door in the dispenser is slightly open, it can cause a drip to occur in the dispenser.

A leaking inlet water valve can cause this problem. If the above tips don't help, you may need to replace this component. The inlet water valve assembly (part 240531101) is located on the back bottom portion of the refrigerator behind the bottom rear service panel. You can order this part from the Sears PartsDirect website. Unplug the refrigerator before accessing this internal component. If you are able to remove and replace this component, you may be able to fix the leaking dispenser yourself. If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
