troubleshooting my refrigerator FRS26HF7BB2 Frigidaire Refrigerator

A:

Good afternoon... I can fully understand your concern. Is the refrigerator side staying cold? I did locate a link that will discuss this situation in greater detail. Though this link discusses a different model number, the mechanics are likely going to be very similar. Keep in mind that an expert will be responding within the next two business days if not sooner and will likely offer you more information and instruction. I hope this link will help guide you as to what might be wrong with your refrigerator and have a nice day.

I know how important a refrigerator is! I hated when mine went out. I would suggest that you first check for any frost build up on the rear freezer panel. A defrost problem will allow the ice to build up over the coils and block air circulation. The evaporator fan must be working to circulate the air through the unit. Check the condenser fan in the rear of the unit. Also check the condenser coils. The condenser can be clogged with lint or other debris preventing the condenser from working correctly. The condenser should be hot to the touch. If the condenser is not hot then there may be a freon leak.

Hope this helps! Feel free to chat back if you have any other questions.
