Question and Answers

Q:

My Frigidaire Refrigerator FRS26HF5AW3 is not making any ice. FRS26HF5AW3 Frigidaire Refrigerator

A:

Thanks for the information about your refrigerator model FRS26HF5AW3, sorry you are having a problem, I will be glad to advise you.

_Always disconnect power supply before servicing the appliance and when testing live voltage be sure to wear proper safety equipment (gloves and eye protection) also be aware of sharp metals on product_Based on the information you have provided, the issue most definitely seems to be in the ice maker itself, or the wiring harness connecting the ice maker.  The first thing you should test is the connection to the ice maker. You will have to loosen the two screws on the mold and remove the one under the head of the unit. Drop the ice maker then unplug the ice maker and check the connections clean as needed and reinstall. You will have to allow 24 -48 hours for first cycle of the ice maker. If this does not help the next step will be to be sure the freezer temperature is maintained below 8 degrees. The ice maker is very temperature sensitive and will not cycle if the freezer temperature is not maintained cold enough, (set to colder if needed). If you have cold enough temperatures and a good connection the ice maker should produce if it does not you will need to test the internal ice maker switches, motor, cams and thermostat, or you can replace the ice maker.
