Question and Answers

Q:

how to replace parts on a Frigidaire Ice maker?

A:

Having a working ice maker is very important. The ice maker not working can be frustrating. I did some research on your model number but was not able to find an answer for you. Your expert will be able to help answer your question. It may take 24-48 hours. I do hope everything works out.

Hi,

Thank you for your question, and I would like to answer the question this way.

One of the problems is the water valve to the ice maker is not working, when the icemaker is calling for water to fill the mold. Another problem could be the ice maker timing is not operating and the ice maker is not calling for ice. This is a direct voltage from the ice maker to the water valve. Usually it is a timed fill.
You could make this a DIY project, and check the icemaker and water valve out yourself.
If you decide to have a Sears Home Services technician out, here is the link.

Always unplug or de-energize electrical equipment before removing covers or attempting service. Be careful and wear appropriate hand protection when working around sharp metal parts

NOTE: You should only check live voltage if you are completely confident in your technical ability to safely measure it. Wear proper safety equipment (electrical safety gloves and safety goggles) when checking live voltage.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance please include more details in a reply to this entry below.
Thank you for using Manage My Life.
