Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife.com. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with the refrigerator water filter. We are here to help. I suspect there is a problem with the new water filter. If the old one installs with no problem, and stays in place. That indicates that the new filter is defective or it is the wrong filter for your refrigerator. You need to recheck the owners manual, to get the proper filter for your refrigerator. I hope this helps.

Reset filter button=15 seconds hold. 5. When filling glass of water, the filter ejects. Must of done the steps least 10 times and the filter ejects right away. Water dripping at every eject. A:

To AnneJ expert>The old filter I removed from the upper cartridge is a NGFC 2000 square see through enclosed hard plastic dual cylinder. So far I bought 2 replacement ones that also stated part #NGFC 2000 but were white dual tubes not enclosed like the one I have been replacing for years. The problem is that the new replacement ones would eject as soon as the water tab is pushed. They fit but eject with the water pressure. Any ideas? Thanks

Q:

Why is the ice maker not working on my Frigidaire refrigerator

A:

There are several reasons why your ice maker could stop making ice.

  • The ice maker signal arm should be in the down position.
  • The freezer may not be getting cold enough to cycle ice.
  • The water supply line to the ice maker may be frozen
  • The ice maker itself could be defective. The ice maker drive motor could be stuck, or the thermostat contacts may not be closing.
  • The water valve may be defective. It could be stuck or the solenoid on it could be open.
  • The water valve may not be getting a signal from the ice maker to fill. This could be the fill switch in the ice maker not making contact or it could be a loose or broken wire connection.

If you require further assistance please resubmit question with details of the checks you have made.
