Question and Answers

pneumatic nailer driver won't retract.

I can understand the inconvenience of having to manually retract the driver each time. I'm wondering if some debris might not be getting caught under the slide, causing some resistance. I was able to locate a link that will discuss several possible reasons for your driver sticking the way it is. Click on the link below to view the page. Though this link discusses a different model number, the mechanics are likely going to be very similar. Keep in mind that an expert will be responding within the next two business days if not sooner and will likely offer you more information and instruction. I hope this information will be helpful and have a nice day.

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the nailer. If the ram is not retracting on its own, I recommend putting 5 to 6 drops of oil into the air inlet. Then check the operation. It may take a few cycles for the unit to start working again. If it does not start retracting, I recommend taking the unit apart and inspect the ram for wear. If the ram looks ok, you should be able to fix the nailer by cleaning all the parts and install all new o-rings. The part number for the over haul kit is 60075. We do not offer the kit but you should be able to find the kit by Googleing the part number.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.
