That type of failure will need to be repaired by a service technician. Repairs and adjustments, even minor ones such as replacing door handles, can cause microwave leakage. A microwave shielding leakage test should be performed after any microwave service. It is for these safety reasons that we are unable to guide you in microwave repairs and instead recommend scheduling service with a qualified service technician. You can schedule service online with Sears Home Services or by calling 1-800-4-MY-HOME. We thank you for your understanding in this matter and hope we can help you with other questions and repairs in the future.

The problem is probably not a bad motor. The correct voltage is probably not reaching the fan motor. You can test this by reading the voltage at the fan motor connector.

If you have more questions, reply on this thread and send the model number of the microwave. We will try to help.

The model is a Frigidaire fmv156dca. It's hard to believe that Sears would send me two new bad motors in a row. There is only one plug for the fan and only one way to plug it in. Thanks,

Most of these blower motors have a start capacitor to get them going. Looking at the wiring diagram for yours it appears the capacitor is built onto the main control board. I suspect you either have a bad capacitor or a bad relay. Either way, replacing the control board should do the trick. You are right, it is highly unlikely that you would get two bad motors in a row. It is even possible that your original motor was not bad and it was the control board all along.
