Recharging the FMR8 Edina upright freezer system with freon

I know how important it is to have a good working refrigerator that is cooling properly so that you can keep your food nice and fresh. While you are waiting for your expert answer, I suggest you add to the thread of this question and include the full model number of your appliance so that the expert can provide you with a more detailed answer. I did manage to find a link that will provide you with some good information to help you with your question. I hope my link is useful.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Removing and installing a new evaporator is a procedure that only a qualified/licensed refrigeration technician should perform.

This is not a job you would want to attempt. It requires the proper license, skill and knowledge to repair and recharge a sealed refrigeration system not to mention the proper tools, Freon, manifold gauges, silver solder and torch.

Call and schedule a technician to repair your freezer and it could also cost more to have it repaired than it would to replace the freezer. Here is a link to where you can look at prices of new upright freezers.
