Question and Answers

Q:

Transmission replacement for fridgidaire wash/dryer combo: flsg72gcs3. Need instructions.

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I added an image below with the procedure and steps to remove and replace the transmission. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing.

If you get to the point where you decide to have a service technician remove and replace the gear case, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services.

Look over the images below and have good understanding of what has to be removed before attempting to tear it down. Removing and replacing the transmission is not a simple procedure. I strongly recommend calling a service technician to remove and replace the transmission.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Q:

Why does my Frigidaire washer keep starting & stopping?

A:

On this type of symptom we need to use a volt meter to find the problem. Something like you described could be caused by the timer, motor or wiring harness. If you have a meter & plan on performing the diagnosis please get back with us for more specific troubleshooting tips.
