This particular gas dryer has a hi-limit thermostat that if broken will prevent the dryer from heating. There is no "fuse" for this particular model.

The image below will show the location of the hi-limit thermostat. It can be accessed by removing the top panel. The hi-limit is circled. It can be checked for continuity if a meter is available.

The 5308015399 hi-limit/safety thermostat can be obtained from the following link: Thermostat .

The top panel can be raised by using a putty knife to release the two clips holding the top. They are located about two inches from the front corners. Remember to unplug the dryer first.

I ordered the part and installed it. It did not fix the problem I still have no heat, clothes are not drying. Can I return the part for a credit and then schedule a repair service call? Or do you have any other suggestions?

: [Sears Home Services | http://www.searshomeservices.com?sid=MMLxexpertxmerch] . The above is a link to have a service technician check and repair the dryer. As you can see in th eimage below there are several parts that might cause the no heat problem. Most can be checked for continuity if a meter is available. If the package is open then likely the part is not returnable and there are two many parts to order without checking them. A meter that checks continuity is not very expensive and I suggest you get one if you wish to do-it-yourself. Remember to unplug the dryer first before making any checks.

There are actually a few parts that might prevent the dyer from working. Some are circled in the image below. If the parts bad is open then the part can not be returned. If you have no meter then I'd suggest a technician check this problem. A meter that will check continuity is not very expensive and the checks can be made while the dryer is unplugged. There are to many parts to simply order and replace them till the right one is found. You can use the link below to schedule a service call. : [Sears Home Services | http://www.searshomeservices.com?sid=MMLxexpertxmerch] .
