Thank you for taking the time to visit the site and submit a question. I believe I can help you with the dryer not heating.

I'm glad you were not able to order a element for this dryer.

If you were told over the phone you needed an element without any checks being made then the element was a best guess.

If the FGQB4000FS2 model number is correct then you have a gas dryer which has no element.

The key to fixing a gas dryer that doesn't heat is knowing what the ignitor is doing. If the ignitor doesn't glow then the problem can be a thermostat, timer or bad ignitor.

If the ignitor glows and clicks off with no flame then the problem is likely the gas coils or valve.

You can start by removing the lower access panel. See the image below for how to do this. You won't need to prop the dryer up on a piece of wood to access the two screws. Remember to unplug the dryer first before removing the panel.

You can reply with what you see the ignitor doing and we'll go from there.
