The flame on our Frigidare gas range is yellow on one burner and another the spark is not hot enough to get it to light.


Having this happen can get anyone worried. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, I suggest you set service with a Sears technician so they can fix it. I have attached the link below. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The spark can not be increased. When any of the burner knobs are rotated to the lite position, the voltage supply is completed to the spark module at which time all the electrodes will begin sparking. The electrode that appears to be weak could be caused by a broken insulator on the electrode or the wire to that electrode could be jumping spark somewhere else to ground. It is important the burner base is making a good ground connection to the top. Check and make sure the screws are tight securing the burner base to the top.

As far as adjusting the gas/air mixture, there is no air/gas adjustment to make with sealed burners. The gas flow to the burners are controlled by the burner valve.

The yellow flame could be caused by a misaligned orifice/igniter assembly. I strongly suggest calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your range.
