FGF353BAWA gas range problem FGF353BAWA Frigidaire Range - gas - 5995234126

Q:

code F3 on display, oven & broiler will not light FGF353BAWA Frigidaire Range - gas - 5995234126

A:

Thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com, and for being a valued member.

The "F3" fault code indicates an open oven temperature sensor or sensor circuit. The oven sensor is most likely faulty and will need to be replaced. If the fault code recurs after replacing the oven sensor, the electronic oven control is likely faulty.

The oven temperature sensor can be disconnected and tested for resistance with an Ohm meter. That sensor should measure between 1050 ohms and 1100 ohms at room temperature. If it is bad, it will need to be replaced. If the sensor resistance is okay, then you could have a problem with the wiring harness or the clock control board in the console.

I hope this helps, and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Q:

Frigidaire range FGF353BAWA clock flickers

A:

I know how important it is for you to see the numbers on your control panel and a flickery light can definitely cause some concern. While you are waiting for an expert answer, I did manage to find a link that will provide you with some information about checking the wires on your control board. I hope my link is useful.

A:

If the clock flickers and the oven does not heat, you could have a bad clock or a bad electrical connection. I would hate for you to replace the clock and still have the same problem.

I recommend you go to http://services.sears.com/shs/category/repair?sid=MMLxexpertxmerch and get a Sears technician to repair the range.
