Q:

My Frigidaire gas range oven will not heat up. Can this be caused by a faulty ignitor? Model no. FGF337ABJ

A:

It can be extremely frustrating when your gas range begins to malfunction and not heat up. I did some research and provided a link to a similar question and answer on our site. I hope this will shed a little more light on the issue until the Expert responds to your question in more detail within 24 to 48 hours.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

If the bake glow bar igntiter is glowing, the igniter is likely too weak to open the gas valve. Replace the bake igniter and your oven will likely heat and maintain temperature.

The igniter #5303935066 for model FGF337ABJ can be ordered from Sears Parts Direct. The oven floor can be removed after taking the two screws out located at the rear of the oven floor. You will also need to remove the flame spreader after removing the oven floor. Remove the nut in the center of the flame spreader and lift the flame spreader off. NOTE: Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post
